CAC Mission
The Chelsea Aquatic Club (CAC) is an organization composed of dedicated swimmers, professional coaches, and volunteer parents, supported by the Chelsea Recreation Council. CAC helps young people discover swimming and realize their potential throughout their progression from swim lessons to competitive accomplishment by instructing them in proper stroke, technique, and conditioning, instilling self-confidence, emphasizing personal improvement and goal setting, participating in swim meets, being a team member, and most importantly—having fun. CAC strives to provide a positive, supportive environment where its members can learn, build friendships, and develop a lifelong love of swimming.

Inclement Weather Policy
Chelsea Recreation Council programs such as CAC operate under the School Board’s decision in terms of inclement weather. If the school district is CLOSED, then all recreation programs will be cancelled. If the school district closes early due to inclement weather, then all recreation programs will be cancelled for the evening. All other cancellations due to inclement weather are made the day of at the Recreation Director’s discretion.

On days that meets are scheduled, if the weather clears by 2:00 PM then the meet will not be canceled.
