Michael J. Kapolka

Mr. Kapolka's journey in education started in 2001 at Warren Fitzgerald High School where he was hired to teach English and United States History.

During his tenure at FHS, Mr. Kapolka took part in several district and county-wide literacy initiatives, taught multiple grade level courses in composition and literature, served as a school improvement chair, English Department chair and coached several varsity and sub-varsity sports.  As an assistant principal at CHS, Mr. Kapolka coordinated all secondary standardized testing as well as all online learning and summer school options for CHS students. Outside of the world of secondary education, Mr. Kapolka serves on the Chelsea United Way Board.

The 2020-2021 school year marks Mr. Kapolka's ninth year as Chelsea High School's principal and fourteenth with the district.

Mr. Kapolka and his wife Rachel, son Ethan and daughters, Grace and Paige reside in Chelsea and could not be prouder to call themselves Bulldogs!
