Chelsea School District
CHS Robotics Team
Chelsea High School’s robotics team, Technical Difficulties, brought home a win at their first competition in Milford. They competed in FIRST Robotics Challenge, an international competition, with 36 of the top teams in Michigan. Technical Difficulties’ robot climbed up to a 7’ 7”’ bar and scored balls into a goal with machine vision. Technical Difficulties partnered with the CSPA Gems from Brighton and Lightning Robotics from Canton to form a well-rounded alliance for an intense series of playoff matches. Technical Difficulties, and their partners, won the event with a final tiebreaker score of 86 to 85, beating out Hall of Fame teams from around Michigan. Chelsea was also awarded the Innovation in Control Award for their turreting ball shooter that contributed to their success at Milford.
